Katie Holmes is having some fun on set of her upcoming movie!

The 42-year-old actress was all smiles while holding hands with co-star Julia Mayorga as they filmed scenes for Rare Objects on Monday afternoon (November 15) in New York City.

Along with starring in the movie, Katie is also directing it, producing it, and co-wrote the script with Phaedon Papadopoulos.

Rare Objects is an adaption of Kathleen Turner‘s novel of the same name, which “tells the story of a young woman (Mayorga) with a traumatic past who seeks to rebuild her life when she begins working at an antique store. Receiving wisdom and guidance from the kind souls that own the shop, she gains a new level of confidence that will then be put to the test when those from her past draw her back into their world and challenge her fragile stability,” according to Variety.
