Matthew Bennett rose to fame as the ‘virgin groom’ looking for love on Married At First Sight Australia’s sixth season.

And two years after taking part in the social experiment, it appears the 31-year-old videographer has undergone a major transformation.

Matthew resurfaced on his girlfriend Annabel Jamieson’s Instagram account earlier this week, and he looks very different than he did in early 2019.

In the photo, Matthew cuddles up to Annabel, who hails from Britain, as they enjoy a festive picnic near their home in Queensland.

Gone was the clean shaven and jittery man fans remember from Married At First Sight, as he now sports a bushy beard and has seemingly bulked up.

Matt has also embraced a more relaxed style, opting for a maroon T-shirt, blue boardshorts, a cap and sunglasses for his date with Annabel.

‘Easily the best thing we did this weekend was a picnic in park,’ Annabel wrote in the caption. 

Matt hasn’t used his own Instagram account since January last year.

He started dating his girlfriend in December 2018, after splitting from ‘wife’ Lauren Huntriss on Nine’s social experiment.

The handsome adult virgin made a lasting impression on viewers, and had sex for the first time with Lauren on the show.

They later broke up after Matt confessed at a dinner party he wasn’t attracted to the makeup artist, and she overheard his hurtful remarks.

Their season is now airing for the first time on E4 in the United Kingdom, but Matt has yet to comment on his newfound fame overseas.
