Across Yorkshire you can buy properties for the average price, but what they look like varies
House prices have gone up by 8.1% compared with last year, meaning the new average house price in the UK is £245,200.
According to research by Zoopla, that’s an increase of £80,000 on the asking price over the past decade alone, meaning many houses are becoming increasingly unaffordable. However, what you can get for this average price changes quite significantly depending on what area of Yorkshire you live in.
YorkshireLive has looked for homes in Barnsley, Bradford, Doncaster, Harrogate, Huddersfield, Leeds, Scarborough, Sheffield, Wakefield and York to see what you can get for around about the average house price in 2022.
