CBS is bringing The Silence of the Lambs back to life with Clarice, a new show that takes place after the events of the Oscar winning film. Clarice follows FBI Agent Clarice Starling (Rebecca Breeds) as she returns to work in 1993, one year later, with the traumatizing case still lingering in her mind every day.
While she’s trying to let go of the past and move forward with her life and career, Clarice takes on more work, solving murder mysteries in and around Washington, D.C. The new show, which comes out 30 years after the original film that inspired it all, comes from creators Alex Kurtzman and Jenny Lumet.
We know the story of Clarice in the context of The Silence of the Lambs, but the new CBS series attempts to give more detail to her character and imagine what her future is like outside of the confines of the film. We’ve seen Jodie Foster first bring the character to life, then Julianne Moore in Hannibal, but now it’s time for a new actress to embody the iconic FBI agent.
Here’s everything you need to know about Clarice and the new star of the series, Rebecca Breeds.
