MARRIED At First Sight star Tayah has hit back at trolls who accused her of lying about her age, saying she’s “disgusted” by their comments.
The estate agent was left shocked as fans took to social media to share their disbelief over her age following her first appearance on the show this week.
Tayah, 25, showed her mature attitude as she settled into married life with dream husband Adam, who she hit it off with from the get go.
But the star was hounded by comments on social media over her age as dozens of Married At First Sight viewers speculated she was older.
On Wednesday, Tayah took to her Instagram to name and shame those who had been trolling her underneath TikTok videos about the series.
She shared a series of screenshots from comments left under the video,
“No way that can’t be right, I thought she was my age and my eldest is 24,” one woman had wrote under the video.
A second had chimed in: “I thought she was 38 and I’m 35,” while a third posted: “I’m shocked. Honestly thought she was 40.”
“I’m actually disgusted, the world of social media is still such a cruel nasty place,” she wrote to her Instagram stories. “Clearly people haven’t learnt anything the past few years.
“To think these people are bringing up people in their 20s as well and commenting things like this just blows my mind.”
She went on to show a series of screen shots showing more nasty comments left by trolls, before sharing a wedding snap of her and husband Adam.
“Thank God I have a thick skin and just pity these unhappy people,” she concluded her rant, before joking the picture showed her “40 year old face”.
Despite her clap back, fans still believe that she both looks and acts older than her years, and her off-screen lifestyle is certainly more lavish than most girls in their mid-20s.
Before becoming an estate agent, the beauty was an air hostess where she would jet off to exotic destinations around the world.
The well-travelled bride has shared envy-inducing snaps from jaw-dropping locations including Thailand, Australia, and Rome.
The vivacious brunette joined the E4 dating show after being single for around 10 months, claiming that she goes for the “wrong guys”.
She married 26-year-old Adam in the ceremony, and they appear to be getting on like a house on fire – with the blushing bride confessing they’re “at it like rabbits”.
And she has big plans if it all works out; Tayah said before walking down the aisle: “My happy ever after would be that I’ve always wanted to get married and wanted kids.
“I’ve always wanted to be a young mum. My end goal is to have that family and have that family unit, so that would be an ideal situation to come from this.”
