Summary: An outstanding football receiver and an All-CIF boys volleyball player, Servite’s Tetairoa McMillan is the Register’s Orange County boys athlete of the year.

McMillan was an outstanding receiver for the Friars’ football team. He had some of his best games against the toughest competition. “TMac,” as he is often called, had eight receptions for 168 yards and two touchdowns against St. John Bosco. He had receptions for 107 yards and a touchdown against Mater Dei.

In volleyball, McMillan was All-CIF Southern Section in Division 2. He played opposite hitter, a position where he could display his stunning jumping skills and hit the ball with ferocity for the Friars, who reached the semifinals of the CIF-SS Division 2 playoffs.

Rivals.com ranks McMillan as the No. 4 football prospect in the state, the No. 44 overall recruit in the nation for all positions, and the No. 4 receiver prospect in the nation.
