Ever since he left One Direction in 2015, he has been turning heads on the red carpet with his daring and flamboyant ensembles. 

But his bold style choices have failed to impress Good Morning Britain host, Ranvir Singh, who criticised the star’s retro brown Gucci suit which he wore to the BRIT Awards 2021 on Tuesday. 

Speaking on the morning programme on Wednesday, she compared his outfit to  ‘burnt toast’ and stated it looked ‘slightly odd,’ while fellow presenter Richard Arnold disagreed and praised his flair for fashion.

‘We’ll have Richard Arnold’s take on it soon – and that burnt toast suit, which struck me as slightly odd,’ Ranvir, 43, said while discussing his outfit at the O2 arena awards show in London. 

Richard, 51, responded: ‘I thought it was absolutely fantastic.’

Harry, 27, displayed his typically quirky sense of style as he attended the BRIT Awards on Tuesday night after accepting his Best British Single award for Watermelon Sugar.

The singer’s designer ensemble featured a retro brown, orange and cream design and statement lapels.

The star wore matching flared trousers and carried a sleek Gucci handbag, which featured a bamboo handle, as he posed for the cameras. 

Harry completed his look with green and red striped Gucci trainers and wore a selection of statement silver rings to accessorise his statement look. 

During the ceremony Harry left fans baffled as viewers questioned why he had suddenly developed an ‘American accent’.   

During his acceptance speech, Harry, who grew up in Cheshire, left fans distracted with his accent as they claimed he suddenly sounded American.

‘I am really happy to be here and proud to be celebrating British music tonight. I want to thank my fans for being so generous to me, always, and everyone in my life who has my back. Thank you so much, I love you.

Other winners on Tuesday night included Dua Lipa, who won the top prize for Best Album, Little Mix, who took home the Best British Group gong, and Taylor Swift who made history as the first-ever female to win the Global Icon Award. 

The 2021 Brit Awards, hosted by Jack Whitehall, marked the first major indoor music event in over a year as bosses released 2,500 free tickets to key workers. 

The Brit Awards took place in front of a live audience of 4,000 people at London‘s The O2 six days before the next phase of lockdown lifts.

At last! The ceremony, which featured a limited audience as part of the government’s Covid pilot scheme, also saw Little Mix make history as the first-ever girl band to win Best British Group

The ceremony, which was broadcasted live on ITV, celebrated the return to live music and Dua, 25, promised those attending that it would ‘be a night to remember’.  

The indoor ceremony and live show formed part of the Government’s scientific Events Research Programme, and used enhanced testing approaches to examine how events can take place without the need for social distancing after all restrictions are lifted on June 21. 

Working closely with the Government to adhere to safety guidelines, The BRITs was the first live music show at The O2 in over a year, with 4,000 tickets being up for grabs – just one fifth of the venue’s 20,000 capacity.
