Kenya Moore spoke out about the recent dip in ratings on The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Twitter.
In a series of posts, Kenya did her best to defend the new episodes after viewership was nearly cut in half as she explained why she believes the show got off to a rocky start and insisted that season 14 is a “great season” and will get “better” as it continues to air.
“I’m still so shocked at these ratings! Bravo must be kicking themselves that their highest rated show has fallen so hard,” a fan wrote on Twitter earlier this week after seeing that season 14, episode three had brought in just 850,000 viewers.
“We were up against [the Billboard Music Awards] and NBA Finals next week will be even better. It’s a great season,” Kenya explained.
Then, after another RHOA fan said, “Screw the rating. This season is IT,” Kenya agreed.
“Exactly,” Kenya replied.
Kenya also shared a retweet, which read, “There is NOTHING no one can say about this season of [RHOA] I’m sorry every episode has been amazing. [Kandi Burruss] walking in the party RIGHT before Brooklyn entrance & then hurrying up to make way was so funny to me & I love the whole cast.”

Earlier this month, as RHOA returned to Bravo for season 14 without longtime stars Porsha Williams and Cynthia Bailey and with a couple of new peaches, including Marlo Hampton, Sanya Richards-Ross, and the returning Sheree Whitfield, ratings reached an all-time low, bringing in just 933,000 viewers.
The following week, ratings continued to slip with only 736,000 viewers tuning in — a fraction of the 1.4 million who tuned in for the season 13 premiere last year.

As Real Housewives fans may recall, The Real Housewives of New York City made headlines last year when they reached their own all-time low at 764,000 viewers.
Some good news for RHOA came after episode four aired as the ratings for the May 22 episode reached a season high with over 992,000 viewers tuning in.
