Laurence Bassini is an English businessman who lives in the Stanmore neighborhood of London. From May 2011 to June 2012, he served as the chairman of Watford FC.

Bassini takeover Watford Football Club on May 31, 2011, after the club’s previous parent company, Watford Leisure PLC, was delisted from the London Stock Exchange and renamed Watford Leisure Limited.

Bassini had been declared bankrupt in 2007 due to the demise of his firm, The Fox in Ibstone near High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, which he blamed on his father.

However, his attempts were unsuccessful, with Football Ventures completing the deal on August 28, 2019. He was rumored to be interested in buying Birmingham City in November 2021.
