A teen has been killed in a horror crash while on a dream road trip to watch Taylor Swift’s concert and her little sister is in a critical condition following the accident.
The 16-year-old girl and her 10-year-old sister were in a vehicle driving down from Queensland to Melbourne when the SUV they were in collided with a semi-trailer in Ballimore near Dubbo in western NSW on Thursday around 6pm.
Emergency services rushed to the scene following reports of the collision but the teenager could not be saved.
She was understood to have been sitting in the front passenger seat at the time of crash.
The girl’s younger sister who was sitting in the back of the vehicle was airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.

The driver of the semi-trailer sustained minor injuries and was taken to Dubbo Hospital in a stable condition.
The two teenage girls along with their mother who live on the Gold Coast were heading down to Melbourne ahead of Swift’s sold out concert at the MCG.
The pop superstar kicked off the Australian leg of her Era’s tour in Melbourne on Friday night.
